Toni lives in Lincolnshire with her husband. She spent 21
years working as a doctor in the NHS before deciding on a change of career. Art was always her first love;
resignation from her hospital post gave her the perfect opportunity to spend her time painting.
She has no formal art training; however her work has won numerous awards, including the Christopher Parsons Award
for Artistic Excellence and a first prize in the Wildlife Artist of the Year competition. Demand for her work is increasing
steadily, with pieces held in private collections throughout Europe, Asia, America and Australia.
Toni produces both feather perfect portraits of birds and large atmospheric landscapes, often featuring the wide
open spaces and impressive skies of the Eastern Counties. She only paints birds she knows well; inspiration is most
likely to come from morning walks with her dog who waits patiently as she sketches.
New work includes some mixed media pieces, with gold leaf and calligraphy. Over the winter Toni will be adding narrative to her
wildlife art and, although she isn’t entirely sure where she is going with this, she is excited about the journey!
She exhibits regularly at the British Birdwatching Fair, the Mall Galleries, London, and with the Wildlife Art
Society.
