'Study of South Island Kaka' by Martin Bell.
This is a pair of South Island kaka. Kaka are a New Zealand forest parrot. Like many South Island sub-species, they are more colourful than
their North Island counterparts. Like lorikeets, they eat fruit and take nectar from flowers. They tear away at decomposing trees in search
of one of their favourites, larvae of the native huhu beetle.
This painting is done in acrylic on paper and is 16”x22” (unframed). SOLD
There are 50 limited edition Giclee prints either on canvas or paper in the original size.
