Paschalis Dougalis

Paschalis was born in Greece in 1970. He is a self taught artist whose first models were animals at the tender age of four. Since 1993 he began more seriously to watch and observe Birds in their natural surroundings and 1995 turned professional as a nature Illustrator. He has illustrated numerous books in Greece & Germany. His Illustration work includes not only birds but also mammals and reptiles, and is mostly executed in Gouache and Water colours. Although he is very busy at the moment, he tries always to find time to sketch and draw from nature. He has been twice the runner-up in the British Birds magazine “Bird Illustrator of the Year” competition, and in 2003 won the Bird Artist of the Year Award “Silberner Uhu”, in Germany.
